baumraum was appointed, to design a treehouse for the building-fair Nordbau 2007 outside the exhibition halls.

Our concept was, to built an environment around the treehouse, which is very natural. The main part in the construction are two oaks, embedded in concrete, outside the exhibition halls. The two trees carry the weight of the treehouse and the terrasse with heavy-duty straps and steel ropes. A staircase leads up to the terrace and the treehouse-cabin.

The area around the treehouse and its base where covered with soil and planted with small trees. Other exhibitors with a similar focus flanked the treehouse.
