The treehouse of a Hamburg family was erected in the garden of their new house. It serves as a play area for the children, a room for rest and relaxation for the adults as well as a guestroom. The construction is suspended at a height of 3.2 m between two beeches and propped up by a fork support.
The interior is furnished with a spacious lying area and a bench. Beneath the lying area and the bench are drawers of different sizes. A folding table provides enough space to work or for a family meal. Interior lighting, some basic kitchen equipment, and the soft upholstery provide some comfort. From a recumbent position the treehouse occupants can see through the skylight up through the branches to the treetops. The panorama window and the long, top-hung side-windows offer a view across the garden to the main house.
