This modern, contemporary and original treatment of a tree house was our concept for the company CAPOREA on the 66th Pitti Bimbo childrenswear show in Florence.
The pavilion-structure was constructed in the open space of the Fortezza da Basso and will comprise an enclosed cabin, suspended two metres above the ground with access provided by a ramp.
Ten birches of different heights supported the cabin which will also include a terrace at the front. The house was covered by wallpaper, showing a huge blow-up of a birch forest and featuring even eight tree trunks.
The project, conceived by the German design studio Baumraum, constructed by the Italian company Denaldi and the German company Schorling-Holz, was the highlight of the whole trade fair and the center of attraction for visitors and the press.
After the Pitti show the installation will be displayed at Pitti Uomo in summer, and in July at the International Architect’s Conference, located in Turin, in the headquarters of the faculty of architecture.
