This little project was realized on a private property on the outskirts of Munich. The clients were very keen to have a modern treehouse built in the garden for their children. In addition, they wanted more patio space and an unusual sleeping area for guests. The absence of larger trees in their own garden led to the creation of the Buschhaus – a space amidst the greenery, integrated between yews and various bushes. From the paved driveway area in front of the house, one reaches the terrace of the bush house via a small staircase.
In summer, this is a shady spot to enjoy a book, or take tea. Another staircase leads to the cabin, built of indigenous larch. The construction is insulated on all sides and can be used all year round. Furnishings comprise an upholstered reclining and sitting area, various storage areas, electrical connection and windows on all sides. Even without big trees, one is still removed from the ground and close to nature.
