The ›Se(e)(h)station‹, whose name plays on the German words for ›seeing‹ and ›lake‹, is a little gem with a big view. Our clients, a married couple from Carinthia, wanted to create a place for their large family, a special sleeping and play area for their children and eight grandchildren – a place for daydreaming and seeing. The widely visible treehouse tower perches on a slope above the town of Seeboden in Austria.

The first terrace is reached unspectacularly via a gently sloping ramp but the steep incline soon becomes apparent. A little staircase takes one further to the sloping treehouse, made of larch.

Inside, there are windows on all sides. One’s eye is however immediately captivated by the view from the panorama window at the end of the large reclining area, where one can see Lake Millstatt, the boats, surrounding villages and mountains.
