When I heard about the treehouse, I immediately envisaged a moss-grown, wobbly construction clumsily hammered together. One that you had to bravely clamber up to on a rope ladder, a refuge from pestering younger siblings. Perhaps this impression was shaped by a childhood memory of a real treehouse adventure that ended in calamity. Just as I and my playmates arrived at the top, the whole tree - that had hitherto looked quite stable - suddenly uprooted and crashed to the ground, taking us with it. What remained was an aversion to treehouses that stayed with me until I saw and experienced this new treehouse. The day I spent the day up in the new treehouse was a day of adventure, freedom and utter relaxation.

Quite unlike the rickety construction I had imagined, this treehouse was extremely robust, spacious and comfortable. The designer and architect has created a work of art, a totally unconventional abode in which one can relax and spend the night. The house has an inviting terrace and an interior fitted with light-coloured wood.

The interior is furnished with a bed large enough to sleep two adults, and an upholstered bench. When darkness falls, there are various lighting options that can be operated by switches within the treehouse. A particularly attractive feature is the many windows facing in all directions, letting in plenty of daylight and offering a breathtaking view of the foliage, out onto the horizon and even down to the ground.

To the gentle rustling sound of the leaves, you can sit on the terrace and contemplate the wildlife among the trees from a somewhat unusual perspective.

The treehouse is a place where one can try out creative and experimental lifestyles, a unique dwelling for individuals, couples and families.
